What Is Bitcoin

Bitcoins are a type of cryptocurrency—a digital asset that can only be bought, held, traded and sold digitally—that operates on a decentralized Proof of Work blockchain network. The blockchain verifies the authenticity of transactions and the wallets holding bitcoins (BTC).

Bitcoin, for example, is similar to gold in that there is a finite quantity and its value is determined solely by people’s desire to have it.

Where to Buy Bitcoin

We use cryptocurrency exchanges such as Binance, Gemini and Coinbase to buy Bitcoin and other digital assets like Ethereum (ETH), Cosmos (ATOM), Cardano (ADA) and Dogecoin (DOGE). These exchanges are perfect for beginners because they allow newbie investors to easily buy, trade, sell and hold cryptos.

How to Buy Bitcoin

To buy Bitcoin, create an account at a crypto exchange. Then wire transfer money from a bank to your new crypto account. Some exchanges even let you buy bitcoins with credit cards. Once you have US Dollars (USD) in your account you can purchase BTC using the trading pair BTC/USD.

When to Buy Bitcoin

The best time to buy bitcoins is when the market dips or crashes, like during a recession or the COVID pandemic. As the saying goes, “buy low and sell high!”

Why to Buy Bitcoin

We buy bitcoins to make a big profit, and we think that’s a good enough reason for you to buy bitcoins too!

In 2017, there were 9,272 wallets holding over $1 million in BTC. Furthermore, bitcoin was the best performing asset class of the last decade (2011-2021), having cumulative gains over 20,000,000%.
